Water Well and Pump Expert

My name is Larry Wayne LaBorde.  I have been involved in water well construction in Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas since 1979.  I graduated with a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech in 1979 and have worked in well construction and pump sales since that time.  I have worked with pumps as small as fractional units to as large as 300 horsepower pumps set 800+ feet deep.  I have designed pumping systems and wells in design/build projects as well as constructed many projects designed by other consulting engineers.   I have acted as project manager on small dewatering well projects and on water wells as deep as 2,400 feet.  Anywhere from 10 gpm to 2,000 gpm capacity wells.  I also am quite familiar with general construction contracts.

Larry is a past president of the Louisiana Groundwater Association.  He is also a current member of the Ground Water Institute (worldwide contractors association).  Larry is a past member of the Louisiana Governors Advisory Board for Water Well Construction.  Larry has attended numerous technical schools at pump factories throughout the world during his career.  He also teaches continuing education at the Louisiana Rural Water Association several times a year as well as the Louisiana Groundwater Association.  Larry also currently serves as president of Continental Drilling & Service, Inc (www.cdswater.com).

Larry enjoys sailboat racing and travel with his wife, Puddy, of 30 years.  Larry is a 32 degree mason and a member of the KCCH.  He is a member of First United Methodist Church.  He is also past president of the McNeil Street Pump Station Preservation Society as well as past president of the Shreveport Scottish Rite Building Foundation.  Larry and Puddy are also the proud parents of two grown children.  Larry also writes and lectures on monetary history as well as sells bullion throughout the world at www.silvertrading.net.
